Reserve, Meritage

2014 Paso Robles Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot

The Estancia Reserve Meritage is a captivating red blend that showcases the rich complexity of Paso Robles. This 2014 vintage beautifully marries the luscious fruit character of Merlot and Malbec with the structured elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The wine presents a harmonious balance, offering a medium-full body that envelops the palate with layers of dark cherry, blackberry, and hints of cocoa and spice. Bright acidity brings freshness, enhancing the wine's overall vibrancy, while the tannins provide a firm backbone that gracefully supports its fruit intensity. This wine is masterfully crafted to be both satisfying on its own and food-friendly, making it a delightful companion for hearty dishes or a cozy evening by the fire. With its enticing aromas and depth of flavor, it captures the essence of the region and showcases the artistry of its winemakers.

Central Coast

California's Central Coast might be a bit quieter than Napa or Sonoma to the north, but this lesser-known region produces many world-class wines. Enjoying incredible terroir along its vast 280-mile stretch—from San Francisco Bay to Santa Barbara—Central Coast wines are increasingly in demand. Its position between the Pacific Coast Ranges and the Southern Coast Ranges is key to its quality, with many cool-climate AVAs offering elegant Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Merlot. In the hotter parts of the Central Coast, away from the coastal fogs and cold mountain slopes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre are exceptional.
